The Newly Weds

Landon and Kristi met in Febuary of 2011. Within a month of dating they knew they wanted a future with each other. They were married on July 20, 2011. Upon meeting each other they wondered if fairy tales really do come true? Their story is a modern day fairy tale of two people who gave up looking for their happily ever after and though its a lot later in life for both of them, a miracle happened and the two of them met, fell in love and....and are working on the happily ever after part.

Poinsettia Bowl

This year BYU was invited to the poinsettia bowl to play San Diego a pretty tough team!

Landon's Dad casually suggested about a month ago that we should have a party at our house and watch the bowl game. That way people could come over and of course see Mckenna but also see all of our Christmas decorations and so forth. So, on Monday I decided to go for it.

Because we are packing up our house and have things decorated for Christmas we didn't have very much room so we invited our parents over to enjoy the game and good food with us.

Well, BYU ended up kicking SD's butt! So that made it fun. What's funny is that Mckenna has a BYU and Utah cheer leading outfit but everytime she wears them the teams loose. So a little more than half way through the boring bowl game we took Mckenna's cheer outfit off and BYU exploded!!! Out of no where we started playing well! Superstition or not its funny!

For the party I did most everything in poinsettias except for the sugar cookies gingerbread men who were turned into BYU football players! We had 3 different cheese balls, cream cheese and Thai sauce, shrimp, spinach and artichoke dip (my first time ever making it), chips and my homemade salsa, panini's, a BYU cherry pie and BYU sugar cookies. Also my fam has a tradition of drinking pomagagranite 7 up during the holidays so we had that also. Super fun!
