The Newly Weds

Landon and Kristi met in Febuary of 2011. Within a month of dating they knew they wanted a future with each other. They were married on July 20, 2011. Upon meeting each other they wondered if fairy tales really do come true? Their story is a modern day fairy tale of two people who gave up looking for their happily ever after and though its a lot later in life for both of them, a miracle happened and the two of them met, fell in love and....and are working on the happily ever after part.

Becknell Family Clan Biggest Loser Competition

So, we are doing a biggest loser competition as a family. Landon and I are on a team. We did weigh ins and measurements on Saturday. We end in may.

Landon and I are moving this week but after this weekend we should be up in sandy- completely moved in so we are joining the dimple dell rec center.

We also are not going to eat breads or added sugar. So, we will see how that goes. I do okay with my calorie intake unless we go out to eat. Lol

We are using my fitness pal on our phones to help motivate and keep track of everyone. I keep telling Landon that we have to win but that never stops him from eating his third bowl of cereal. Lol

At the end of the competition the plan for me is to run a 10k. I'm pretty nervous bc I have never done it before but I'm gonna try it!

Moving Time

So, this is it. This is the month that we are moving. We have started slowly moving things over to Sandy and are starting to decorate. Decorating is the fun part. The not so fun part was two weeks ago and this last week when we had to deep clean and paint. I have never painted very much before so this was a new experience for me. I picked out light colors and taped and put the first coat of paint on. Landon and his Dad did all the final coats...that was far too nerve racking for me to do! I even did some spackelding and sanding which were new things for me but I'm learning and I think that they turned out okay. I will  have to put some pics on here. I should have done some before and after pics because the place looks night and day different. We still have two more weeks of moving. I hope that we survive it. It has been pretty stressful!

New Years Day 2013

For New Years Day we had wanted to go snow shoeing. We had plenty of snow to go but it is very cold outside and so we needed to wait until the sun came up to go but Landons parents decided to have lunch instead of dinner so that Landons sister and her husband could be there. So, we decided not to go snowshoeing and slept in and then just went up to Sandy. There will always be other days to snow shoe and we wanted to spend the day with family.

Every year, Larry and Darlene do a Southern Meal to welcome in the new year. So, I brought baked southern Mac and Cheese with Ham. We ate lunch there and were able to visit with Josh and Shalyn for about a half hour and then they left. Landon and I then stayed and played games with his parents.  It was a riot! I love to play games. We played Rook. Everytime we play Rook though I never remember how to play so it always takes me a bit to relearn but regardless, Landon always chooses to be on a team with me. lol After Rook we played Scotland Yard. I had never played before but had heard a lot about it from his family. So, they taught me how to play. I messed up a bit but it was a lot fun! McKenna tried out a new swing while we were playing our games and loved it! It put her right to sleep. She slept clear through us playing four games!

New Years Eve

Good-bye to 2012 and Hello to 2013.

2012 was a great year for us. Last year this time we found out that we were pregnant. Now, this year we have McKenna. She has filled our life with so much joy. Since Landon and I have gotten married each day gets better, which means each year will be better too! We are looking forward to a great year ahead of us!

For New Years Eve this year Landon had to work but surprised by being able to get out an hour early so he came down and picked McKenna and I up and we headed down to my parents house. I was so excited to celebrate New Years Eve with McKenna at my parents. Every year we dress up and have a nice dinner, play games, light off fireworks and write goals. This year McKenna got a New Years Dress. It was so fun! TJ and his friends came over and we let off fireworks and ate and played Scum. We also wrote our New Year Goals. Landon and I had very similar goals. Im excited to accomplish them this year!

We left my parents at 11:00 pm so that we could get home and have our first count down together in our jammies just the three of us. It was fun. McKenna watched the ball drop and then landon and I both kissed her. SHe was so excited! I think that she could sense our excitement!
