The Newly Weds

Landon and Kristi met in Febuary of 2011. Within a month of dating they knew they wanted a future with each other. They were married on July 20, 2011. Upon meeting each other they wondered if fairy tales really do come true? Their story is a modern day fairy tale of two people who gave up looking for their happily ever after and though its a lot later in life for both of them, a miracle happened and the two of them met, fell in love and....and are working on the happily ever after part.

Valentines Day

With it being our first year being married and not as well off as we would like right now we decided that we would keep Valentines Day "Homemade." Best idea ever! It was simple, sweet and just what we needed.
I got up that morning and decorated the table with fake rose petals and made belgium waffles for Landon and we ate together before I had to go to work. When I returned home from work he had a "homemade" card waiting for me! It was so sweet.
Then we headed up to SLC because I had to teach that night and he patiently waited for me out in the car and then we got ice-cream and went and walked around temple square.
All I wanted was to be with my sweetheart. That is the best Valentines Day present ever. Last year I was alone on Valentines Day because Landon thought that I might have a date with someone else and we hadn't known each other for very long. Last year I got sick and spent the day in bed. I was my first Valentines Day that I didn't get one Valentine. This year however, we are MARRIED and PREGNANT! Its amazing how much can change in such a short time!

What do you think?

I got so fired up about all of this that I just had to post something in my blog also! lol I don't usually involve myself on soundboards like this but once a missionary always a missionary eh? Someone needs to stand up against ignorant and biased information.

The Super Bowl

Landon and TJ decided that they needed to put together a Super Bowl Party. TJ LOVES the Patriots and so he thought this would be the greatest time to convert us all to Tom Brady. lol We decided to have the party at our Condo. It ended up being a blast even though the Patriots didn't win.
We invited family and a few kids from our Sunday School Class that Landon and I teach. We ended up having a full house of food and people.
We served: Pizza, Buffalo Chicken Wraps, Hot Wings, All different kinds of Chips, Pretzels, Dip, Shrimp Cocktail, Veggie Tray, Assorted Nuts, Assorted M&Ms, Candy Bars, Licorice, Sticky Buns, Cupcakes, and drinks. It was quite the spread!!!
People: Me, Landon, Mom and Dad Orchard, Mom and Dad Becknell, Tracie and Holly, Ryan, TJ and Hayden, Stacey and two of our Sunday School Kids Ethan and Harrison. It was a fun diverse group!

1 full year!

Landon and I met a year ago. I can't believe how much has happened in that year. This past Saturday Landon and I went back to where we first met and were able to celebrate how far we have come. One year ago Landon and I were set up on a blind date. We met at McGraths Fish House. I remember walking in and seeing him waiting for me. I got butterflies. He was so much more attractive than I thought he was going to be. lol. We ended up having a great convo and I hoped that I would be able to see him again! It was so refreshing for me back then to meet him. He was everything that I was looking for and I had just about lost hope that there were any good guys left out there.
This time, we sat there holding hands....talking about the time we first met....and talking about married life and our baby that is on the way. Who would have thought that so much could happen in just one year.
I am so happy and proud to be married to Landon. He has taken incredible care of both me and the baby through this difficult process. I am so grateful that we both had the guts a year ago to go n that blind date and meet each other!

Its a Girl!

Autumn and I have been BFF's since 5th grade and we get to be prego at the same time! It is so much fun! On Friday I went to her baby shower. It was done in all Pink and Brown. It was adorable. The baby is going to be named Presley Marie. Autumn is due in March and I am due the first week in August. Its nice to see a friend go through pregnancy a little bit ahead of you so you know what might be coming your way. Doesn't Autumn look so cute and little in this pic?
