The Newly Weds

Landon and Kristi met in Febuary of 2011. Within a month of dating they knew they wanted a future with each other. They were married on July 20, 2011. Upon meeting each other they wondered if fairy tales really do come true? Their story is a modern day fairy tale of two people who gave up looking for their happily ever after and though its a lot later in life for both of them, a miracle happened and the two of them met, fell in love and....and are working on the happily ever after part.

The 24th of July

Landon had to work and McKenna has been a little sick so we didn't go to any parades but when Landon got home from work we headed down to Spanish Fork Fiesta Days. We didn't go to the rodeo but we went to the booths and carnival and then headed over to the ballpark and hung out with grandpa and grandma until the fireworks. McKenna loves fireworks! We all had a lot of fun.

2 Year Anniversary

We debated on if we should go away for our anniversary or not. We eventually decided not to so Landon could have some time with McKenna bc he hasn't had much time with her since we got back from NC.

So we made a bunch of plans for Saturday.... And just like our luck for the last two years half of our plans didn't work out. The SLC temple was closed and so was Red Ginger and we ended up going to a different movie than planned.

We still had a great time though and did some fun things! We saw Red 2, went to Trader Joes, Petco and The World Market, we went to Tuscany which is where we had our luncheon after our wedding- so beautiful! Then we went up to Brighton and walked around Silver Lake which was so relaxing and romantic!

Over the past two years Landon and I have learned how to go with the flow. We have been through a lot of really hard times and yet we have had amazing times also. We are so proud of our marriage and the little family we have created!

So in the last two years we got married, got pregnant and had a baby. We have lived in two different locations together. We both got new jobs. We have two dogs. We sold our truck and bought a family sports utility. Landon started his MBA program and so so so much more!

Here's to successful, happy years ahead!

Cousin Time @ the Pool

Today is only our second day back but since we were gone for a week and all the cousins were in GA for a few weeks we thought we should get together. We swam and got Happy Meals. Nice to catch up and to have everyone home for now.

Jumping Back into Things

I thought it would be hard coming back home after being gone an entire week to NC. I was surprised that McKenna and I just picked up where we left off.

We got home super late Tuesday and Wed I checked my phone and had messages from work and from the relief society. So I went to my presidency meeting, had my conference call for work, worked out, ran to the store, met Landon for dinner etc. it was crazy. Jet lag has nothing on us!

The Temple

We drove up to the temple bit didn't get to go inside bc they didn't have any openings for us. It was fun to see it though.

Pullen Park

NC Food

It was fun to have the different experiences of going out to eat and eating in... Both TR and Ashley are great cooks! I was set on going to: Tropical Smoothie and the Waffle House bc they remind me of my mission but I also want to get some seafood and some BBQ and we did it all plus got some amazing desserts! Chocolate Pecan Pie and Durhams famous loco pops!

Duke

So proud of TR for graduating from Duke. These are pics from around campus.

I'm going to be a new Aunt again!

TR and Ashley are expecting! They are due December 30th. We are really excited. This is how they told us:

North Carolina

We had a great time visiting TR, Ashley and Trey! We got to see Duke and Durham and got to hang out with our fam that we have missed so much! McKenna sure loves her cousin Trey! It was hard to say goodbye.

While we were there we got to do some of the unique things they have there.that was fun for me. The best part was finding out that they are going to be having another baby!!!! So excited!
