The Newly Weds

Landon and Kristi met in Febuary of 2011. Within a month of dating they knew they wanted a future with each other. They were married on July 20, 2011. Upon meeting each other they wondered if fairy tales really do come true? Their story is a modern day fairy tale of two people who gave up looking for their happily ever after and though its a lot later in life for both of them, a miracle happened and the two of them met, fell in love and....and are working on the happily ever after part.

Water Aerobics

So, many people think that water aerobics is something for Senior Citizens but I disagree. I love water aerobics and have done it off and on since I was 19 years old. I even taught Water Aerobics when I was at BYUI. Well, we live right next to a rec. center now and they offer classes.

On Tuesday I went to my first Water Aerobics class! I was stoked to be there! It feel great to get a good work out and not have all the harsh impact on my bones and my nerves. I love it. Our instructor was great and I can't wait to go again.

Darlene (Landons Mom) has really bad knees and her Doctors have told her that she needs to start working out in the water. So, last night she came with me and she said that she really liked it! We are going to start going every Tuesday and Thursday night. Landon is going to watch McKenna while I go. I am so excited.

St. Patricks Day in West Mt.

Of course we went out to Payson to my parents house for St. Patricks Day. Its a very big holiday at my parents house. We ate orned beef and cabbage and Irish rolls. It was a lot of fun. McKenna dressed upin her festive clothes and Ryan, Hayden and TJ were there. It was a lot of fun. We played skum and sat around and talked and got caught up with everyone. It was a great Holiday! I wish my other sibblings could have been there as well.It was a great time.

Landons New Calling

Landon got a new calling on Sunday. He is now the Sunday School President in our ward. He was pretty shocked about the calling. We live in a seasoned ward and it seems that most people who have callings have had them for years and years. He was surprised that they chose him but he is very grateful as well. He is exxcited to get started.

Family Fun

We had Landon's parents, sister, cousin and aunt and uncle over with their children on Saturday. We grilled hotdogs and polish dogs and celebrated a little bit of St. Patrick's Day.

Landon's aunt and uncles kids are all very young. Two of them brought their rollerblades and one brought a scooter so I put on my rollerblade that Landon bought me for Christmas and went cruising with them. It was a lot of fun. Later we made a fire and roasted marshmallows and all that good stuff.

Well, I gave an uncooked marshmallow to McKenna! She loved it but it went every where! It was hilarious! She turned it into goo!

McKenna Met The Easter Bunny

So, on Saturday McKenna met the Easter Bunny and unfortunately did not approve. She screamed louder than I have ever heard her scream in public. Her cousins, who are younder than her, did just fine with the huge, hairy bunny but McKenna was not having it! In fact the rest of the day she was a little bit wimpery....milking it! ;) Just kidding! But it was sad. Everytime we went to set her down she would wimper and give us a look like: "Really? You aren't going to hold me every second of today.... even though you completely traumatized me today???????"

The Proclamation

It would be wrong of me to keep this to myself. I must share it. When I went to BYU, I used a textbook called Strengthening Our Families. It took the Proclamation to the Family and divided it up into section in which they added Doctrine and Published Essays to it. It is really big.

As a student I cherished this textbook and read certain parts over and over again. Now that I am married so many new and exciting things stand out to me now. I feel that I understand things so differently than I did before. I have been reading this book for a week now and am getting deeper into and loving it more each day I read, study and ponder on it.

If you don't have one, I would suggest it to anyone! The information is spiritual from our leaders as well as scholarly from those who are not within the LDS faith. The scholars speak on trends of the world and the digression of families in this day in age. It is very interesting, thought provoking and has really built me up and given me a new sense of fight. A fight to have a stronger marriage, close and open family and a God centered home.

Cleaning the Temple

Have you ever had the opportunity to clean the temple? When I was a Temple worker I was able to help out with some dusting and some laundry but that was it. I never realized that they allowed members to volunteer to clean the temple.

Friday night Landon and I had the opportunity to clean the Temple from 9:45 pm to midnight. I thought that I would get so tired but really it reenergized me to be there. It was the neatest feeling to know that I was cleaning the House of The Lord. I got to polish the third floor. Can you believe how amazing that was? What made it even better was that Landon and I got to clean together as a couple.

The spirit was so strong there and I recieved all sorts of impressions while I was there on how I could better my life. I love the temple so much and am very grateful for the opportunity that we had. If you ever get the chance- do it! You won't regret it!

McKenna's St. Patrick's Day Card

McKenna's First St. Patricks Day- Photo Shoot

So, McKenna was pretty ornery when I tried to take her pics because she had just gotten bit by a spider. So, to ake a long story short she did not want me taking her St. Patty Pics but I got a few.

St. Patrick's Day Goodies

Well, it's time to make some goodies for the neighbors for St. Patrick's Day. This year I decided to look on Pinterest because my brain is a little fried. I found this rainbow and pot of gold idea and really liked it. When I got to winco however they were sold out of most things so I came up with my own little twist on it- of course. I'm so bad at following rules, recipes and directions. Lol anyway, this is how they turned out...

Sunday Afternoon

We had a wonderful Sunday Afternoon! Both of our parents stayed for all three hours of church with us and then came to our house for lunch. We had Grilled Chicken sandwhiches and Hamburgers with macaroni salad and chips and yummy tarts for dessert.

After lunch we went outside and played bachi ball and introduced McKenna to bubbles. It was a blast. She was a pretty tired after her nap but she liked the bubbles. It was so much fun to be outside and spend time with family.

Missionary Work

Landon and I had the opportunity to talk in church. Our topic was Missionary Work and it was also a farewell that day. Our next door neighbor is going to be a Sister Missionary in California. I am so excited for her. Alll three of us spoke on Elder Nelsons talk in General COnference Fall 2012 Ask the Missionaries, They Can Help You!

It is so hard to only speak for a few moments on such an incredible subject. We both did our best. Landon did absolutely incredible. He spoke so well. I am so proud to be his wife. I hope that we can serve a traditional mission together some day.

The Philadelphian

On Saturday after we ran errands, Landon took McKenna and I to the Phiadelphian for our first time. It is so yummy! They have pastrami ones too, that what I am going to try next time I go. Its so good! If you haven't ever been then you have to go!

Home and Garden Show Fun

We had a lot of fun going to the home and garden show at the sandy expo center. We went Friday night and took Mckenna and Larry and Darlene with us. It was a blast! We had fun looking at things and buying a few small things. McKenna even got a little green purse. It is so cute and she adores it! She and her Daddy picked it out and Pop Pop bought it for her. It was so much fun!

Cousin Time

Jeran and Gunner came over for some fun time with the toys. McKenna loves her cousins!

Jeran and McKenna

Shalyn and Jeran made a "pop-in" visit and Jeran and McKenna were able to play. I am so glad that they are able to spend more time together and that they are getting to know each other. I hope that they can spend a bunch of time together before they move to Oregon.

"Talk to the hand Jeran"

"I love you McKenna"

"Let me kiss your hand...kiss, kiss, kiss"

"Okay, Okay, no more kisses Jeran"

"This is actually what I want, give me that bib"

"I'm so done with this McKenna, please stop eating my hand"

"Okay, I'm gonna get that Bib then"

"Or maybe that eye of yours..."

Awe, snuggles

Their first wresting match lol

The Draper Temple

Our Temple is the Draper Temple for our new Boundaries in Sandy. You would think that it would be Jordan River because we are straight down the street from it but I am glad that it is the Draper Temple. The Draper Temple has such a special place in my heart from when Landon and I were dating.

I have set a new commitment to go to the temple every week and I have done it now for the past three weeks. Two of the times Landon was able to come with me! I love when I get to go with him! I have set up a schedule with Darlene to help out for an hour on Wednesday nights to watch McKenna so that I can go. It l;ifts my spirits, I think more than anything else!

At Stake Conference they announced that the Draper Temple needs more Temple Workers and also more Patrons. I wish that I could do both but they won't let me be a temple worker again while I have children at home. I can still at least commit to attending as a Patron each week though. The Bretheren were right though. The temple has been empty each time I have gone.

If you live next to the Draper Temple, take some time and go! You'll be glad you did!

Attack of the Oreo

McKenna LOVES Oreos!!!! Landon started feeding her Oreo pudding, pie, and milkshakes since she was a tiny baby and now she goes absolutely crazy for them. This is the result of one cookie tonight.

McKenna has teeth!

So, last night we checked out McKennas little tooth that has been coming out and we were surprised to see that to the right of the one we had been watching the entire top was out of her gums! How did we miss that? And then on the other side of that one another one is starting to show its top! She is gonna have a toothy grin before we know it!

Decorating for St. Patrick's Day

I love decorating for the holidays! Each month my house has been splashed with whatever festive Holiday happens to fall within it. This month is our Irish Day and you better believe that my neighborhood and all our visitors know that we are Irish! Cheers!
