I wanted to start some new traditions with my own little family but that didn't quite work out...there is always next year and McKenna won't really remember this christmas anyway, but at least I tried. I got up early Christmas morning and wrapped a few more gifts, loaded up all the gifts to take to our families houses and even took a shower and got ready for the day and then waited, and waited and waited for my two sleepy heads to wake up! Finally McKenna stirred a little bit so I got her up and woke Landon up and drug them into the front room to open stockings and Christmas presents. By this time it was 10am. lol
We didn't think that McKenna would really appreciate Christmas and the presents this year we thought that we could just hold out till next year so we only bought her a few things. Well, turns out that she LOVES opening presents and she is actually really good at it aside from her always trying to put everything in her mouth!
I got Landon a Jazz beenie and shorts, a new lovesac cover and a bunch of DVD's that he wanted like the new Sherlock Holmes etc. on Bluray. He got me Roller Blades and memory foam mats and two seasons of Bones. McKenna got Daddy a book. Its called "I'm So Glad When Daddy Comes Home." It was so cute to see her hand it to him and he really enjoyed it!
Here are pictures of her Christmas Morning with just the three of us at our Condo:
Her First Stocking
She got tiny nursery rhyme books for her to take to church
She wouldn't let me open them...she had to help!
We read one to her and she did well paying attention and listening but as soon as it was over she had to taste it too!
By that smile, we decided that it was a winner!
She got a bumbo tray, she didn't know what it was but she enjoyed opening it and enjoyed hitting her hands against it to make it make noise.
We had an awesome Christmas! See me sick rollerblades in the background?
Love all the Christmas posts. It looks like you guys had a great Christmas! We wish we could have seen cute McKenna open her presents. We can't wait to get back to Utah!
