The Newly Weds

Landon and Kristi met in Febuary of 2011. Within a month of dating they knew they wanted a future with each other. They were married on July 20, 2011. Upon meeting each other they wondered if fairy tales really do come true? Their story is a modern day fairy tale of two people who gave up looking for their happily ever after and though its a lot later in life for both of them, a miracle happened and the two of them met, fell in love and....and are working on the happily ever after part.

You only have your 1st Mothers Day once!

I was not excited for my first Mothers Day. I was sad thinking that there would be no time to celebrate and thought that maybe Landon and McKenna weren't proud of me.

The weekend before my mom had brought me a Mothers Day gift bc she was going to be in NC for my brothers graduation. So we were planning to have Darlene and Larry over for Mothers Day. Those were the only plans I was aware of.

On Friday night I made Mothers Day gifts for my neighbors in our circle and we went a delivered them and went and locked up the church. Lol you can definitely see us coming: me with the jogging stroller and Landon with our two dogs on leashes. Lol

Well, on Saturday Landon watched McKenna so that I could go and get my haircut. It was my first time cutting my hair since McKenna was first born. I needed one so bad. We also had an amazing coupon for half off. So I went and got my hair cut and got a protein treatment and got summer bangs!

Then I came back home and we went to goodwood and got Nachos to go and went to the Park and ate them and played on the playground and went for a walk.

Afterwards I was cleaning up and Landon was fixing stuff outside and when he came in he surprised me with 3 early Mothers Day gifts. He have me a unique beautiful rope pearl necklace, long pearl earrings and the most beautiful pearl and diamond ring. It matches with my wedding ring!!!! This pearl ring is my mommy ring and it is breathtaking! Landon is incredible. I felt so spoiled!

On Mothers Day we woke up and got ready for church and when I came downstairs with McKenna I was surprised with a box full of white/yellow roses! Amazing!

Landon is Sunday School President which means he is in charge of the Mother's Day gift for all the women. So we bought Utah Truffle Bars and made a cute saying and then tied the saying on each bar with ribbon. Lol time consuming but super cute!

After church we went and delivered Mothers Day gifts to the women I visit teach. The women lived much further away than we had anticipated and it was hot and uphill as we pushed McKenna in the stroller and Landon had both dogs on a leash. Lol the dogs would pull Landon to a shady spot and collapse! It was pretty funny.

When we got home Larry and Darlene were already there so Darlene and I played with McKenna in the backyard.. We came in to yet another surprise!

Landon and Larry made an unbelievable dinner for us! We had grapes, and crab cakes, and rice pilaf and asparagus, rib-eye steaks and Alaskan Snow King Crab legs that were HUGE! It was amazing! And then to top it all off we had gigantic chocolate covered strawberries for dessert! I couldn't believe it! I think I out ate everyone! Lol

After the folks left we put McKenna down for a nap and Landon and I played three rounds of bachi ball. It was such a beautiful day!

Every day I am so grateful for my daughter and my husband and this new life full of adventures!
