The Newly Weds

Landon and Kristi met in Febuary of 2011. Within a month of dating they knew they wanted a future with each other. They were married on July 20, 2011. Upon meeting each other they wondered if fairy tales really do come true? Their story is a modern day fairy tale of two people who gave up looking for their happily ever after and though its a lot later in life for both of them, a miracle happened and the two of them met, fell in love and....and are working on the happily ever after part.

Ecuadorean Night

So, our neighbor Alex got his mission call to Ecuador and we wanted to help him get excited. So Landon and I invited our whole circle over to our yard for a Taste Trying night of Ecuadorean food.

I looked up recipes and made invitations. Alex's Mom Tammie said she would help cook food so she did half of it. We were both so surprised by how well everything turned out.

Tammie made: Carne Asada, yellow rice, lentils, pineapple drink and a strawberry drink. She also brought corn tortillas.

I did the chili lime shrimp, car mailed plantains, I can't remember the name of the other dish but it was pretty much ham and potatoes, and coconut fish, salsa and chips, ceviche and tropical pineapple crab salad.

I also made a fruit cocktail drink.

It was so much fun. We decided to invite the whole neighborhood for it to be a missionary opportunity. We thought it would be an easy way to talk about the gospel to our neighbors.

We had almost 20 people come over through out the course of it. It was a great experience!  It was fun to try foreign recipes and to visit with our neighbors!
