May 5th Fiesta!

So I decided to try to go all out for the food and a few decorations. Unfortunately a majority of my family couldn't come. However, we had a blast with my parents.

I made cafe rio salads and burritos. I made chili rellenos. There was also tosquitos, mango punch and all the yummy beans and rices and anything else you could think to put on everything.

I also made a lime yogurt cake that TR taught me how to make. It turned out yummy! All the things I made were a first for me. I had never made cafe rio tomatio dressing or their pork or chili rellenos, Or the cake. I wanted to make Horchata but I didn't get started in time so we are having it for tonight.

What a busy, cooking, cleaning, decorating and yard work weekend.

May the 4th be with you!

We got together with Landon's side of the family and celebrated May the 4th be with You as well as celebrated Nate and Derek's Birthdays and the Biggest Looser Family Competition coming to a close.

We had a crepe buffet at our house and Holly made a cookie cake. We all did our last weigh ins and measurements and then ate a ton of food! Lol

It turned out that Landon and I won the competition. Everyone put in $5 so we get the money jar.

Tot Time at the Library

McKenna is super smart. She will watch something and look at it from different angles and then she will do it herself. Lol she was the only baby who could turn the knobs on the toys at the Library. The other who could were 2!

However I must say that the kids her age were crawling properly and she still does the army crawl. Lol

McKenna had some of her friends from swim class there with her but then also met some new friends. It was a fun time!

Music and Motion

McKenna started her first Music and Motion Class with her friend Aubrey. It was a lot of fun. She danced, played with instruments and learned stretching and a few athletic basics. It was a great opportunity for her.

Pizza, Pesto and Herbs

Yum, yum, yum! We made pizza dough, margarita pizza and pesto pizza and pasta. The pesto was a cilantro pesto. Amazing!

After the food we made an herb garden. We had a great time!

McKenna is 9 months old

So proud of our big girl! She is learning so much!
